I Never Knew You

And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you." Matthew 7:23

Beloved,

Can you imagine if Jesus said that about you? Oh the dread! Often times we talk about our ultimate or supreme goal in the positive with statements like, "I live to serve" or "To know God and make Him known." But in the negative, my greatest fear would be that Jesus would say that He never knew me because I was too busy. Too busy serving. Too busy working. Too busy doing. When all He really wants us to do is chose the one thing that matters--An intimate relationship with Jesus. David said in Psalm 27 that the "One Thing" that he desired above all else was to be with God in the temple, to behold His beauty and to talk with God. Paul declared that knowing God was the one thing he focused on and Mary of Bethany chose not to serve Jesus, but to sit at His feet and worship him and Jesus praised her for her wise decision. Ladies, today we need to be wise women and chose to worship Jesus in our Spirits and in truth.

Called to the Obedience of Faith

Good Morning Beloved,

This morning in my devotions I read Romans 1:1, "and we are called to the obedience of faith." For at least a year now God has been telling me to start keeping a journal and to capture His revelations in writing. I've avoided the call...I've made excuses...okay, I was flat out disobedient. But today, as I was beseeching His voice and His presence, again I felt the prompting to write it out and capture His Words to me and my life for Him.

As God would have it, one of the devotionals I read listed a Sister's blog and I saw how she was using it to glorify God and capture her days and thoughts. So I will be obedient to where you lead.

Of course, I will have to jazz up this blogsite and make it my own, but our walk of faith begins with one step.
